Unsigned Studio worked with Marine Traffic AIS to visualise their global shipping data set that sampled over 15 million data points. Custom software was created to process and manage the data and produce a film showcasing their data in a new and novel way.

The raw data drops were run through a custom application which performed some initial pre-processing. The data was then ingested into our backend. With the data efficiently handled, a series of scripts were written which talked to our backend. These scripts analysed and compiled the data into code that our rendering software used to create the animation.
